Folks go to church but with all this religiosity do not forgive others as the religion teaches.
I do not regularly attend church but I have a strong belief in Christianity. What amazes me is that the church regulars do not practice much of the teachings of Christianity. Hot on my observatory list is the subject of forgiveness. At the service I attended on Sunday February 19, 2006, the sermon was around the reading of Isaiah 43: 25:"I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.” Even the Lords prayer repeated daily by Christians are clear: "Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us." I guess it is difficult to be a good Christian, but at least forgiveness is not only good for the soul but for the health also.
My daughter moved south recently and with the move, there was so much unwanted stuff or clutter that she did not want to take to her new residence. Therefore, we gave some to charity, sold some and put the others by the wayside. What a relief it was to see all this clutter go away. Using this as an analogy, one can just imagine the folks who carry anger with them and never forgive. How much clutter they carry in their bosom and what an emotional hazard it is. If they can only let go of this clutter, they would be happier and healthier.
