The Price of being a klutz

I have been in the Miami area for the past five weeks. Life here is at a much slower pace than NYC and its suburban environment and I find the people very friendly and helpful indeed. Letters from Readers (Miami Herald) - The price of being a klutz can cost you $1,300 or more in New York but also make a terrific Seinfeld episode. I guess it would be George or Elaine that will lose the electronic car key. Since the link has expired I'll narrate the short story.

The US government must make a greater effort to get foreigners to speak English.

IS THE SKY FALLING?

If we know that an asteroid is heading towards earth in ten years from now, it is worth spending money to build a defense system to avert the crisis. Scientists tell us that there are over 1,000 NEO’s (Near Earth Objects) revolving around the same path as mother earth. If any of these asteroids change path and collides with earth, that would extinct the human race.

ENJOY BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE

After 9/11, some folks began to enjoy doing some things “now” that they had planned to do later.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO? FOREIGN AID

UNICEF, including the World Bank and other UN agencies deliver cash and supplies to the government of developing countries as the respective state governments assume responsibility to implement these aid projects. But, when so many developing country governments are blamed for being monopolistic and/or bureaucratic, not to mention, very corrupt, the telling question is how much of foreign aid reaches the poor people?
