Both before and after marriage it is the girl child who is called upon to do household chores if both parents go to fetch work outside.  These girl children work in their households in Africa in unventilated huts inhaling indoor smoke resulting in respiratory infections and early death or an unhealthy life.

These are areas that UNICEF should also explore. To speak of ventilation, open cooking fires and the rights of the girl child to go to school and not one of servitude.
