Are we reaching the end of our ecological consumption as we consume resources so fast that they do not have enough time (or opportunity) to regenerate and replace itself? In addition we pollute and destroy those ecological assets that produce human wants from nature; it is like killing the goose that laid the golden eggs. Goose laid golden eggs. To satisfy his greater consumption man killed the goose to get all gold eggs. Now there is no goose to produce the gold eggs.
We always see a crisis coming. Those who warn of the crisis are alone and few. The rest are very confident that good times will just prevail. Thomas Friedman is quite right about the great disruption.
